FAQ
When may I use my concessionary travel permit for free travel? Mondays to Fridays: after 09:00 Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays: any time
Where may I travel for free? You may travel anywhere in Kent and Medway - and, providing your journey starts or finishes in Kent and Medway, you can travel as far as the route goes - for free. If you wish to make bus journeys which do not start or finish in Kent you will be required to pay the full adult fare for now - a national scheme is expected to be introduced in 2008.
Do I get priority over other passengers? Sorry, no you do not. All passengers will be required to queue for the bus in the normal way.
Will Nu-Venture be issuing tickets to concessionary travel permit holders? Each time you board a Nu-Venture bus, the driver will issue you with a ticket. We are doing this so that we may be properly reimbursed for the journeys you make with us. It will also help us to see which are the most popular journeys so that we can use the right size buses. Please ensure that you show the driver your pass each time you board a bus.
Will I need a new pass? Your current concessionary travel permit is valid for free travel from 1 April 2006.
What will happen if I lose my pass? You will need to apply for a replacement pass from your local council. Until this arrives you will need to pay the full adult fare if you wish to travel with us.
We
look forward to welcoming you aboard one of our vehicles shortly!
