to bus services
To ensure that there is adequate capacity on services 23 and 26 for all those wishing to travel towards Maidstone before school, Mondays to Fridays bus services in the Yalding, Hunton, and W/E Farleigh areas will be slightly altered on schooldays on and from Tuesday 1 November 2011.
More seats will be provided on route 26 at Hunton (0734) and Dean St (0743) by the provision of an additional bus here, whilst the 0712 Yalding/Laddingford to Maidstone bus service 23 will additionally serve West Farleigh at 0735. Passengers currently using the 0723 Yalding/Maidstone service 23 will need to travel 1 - 3 minutes later from existing stops.
From Monday 5 March, we will be changing bus 21 as follows to cope with the reducing numbers travelling from the Grove Green & Bearsted areas to Cornwallis, diverting the service so that it provides more seats for Sutton Rd/Willington St passengers.
New bus route 97 will replace the Grove Green and Bearsted parts of service 21.
Bus 97 will leave Grove Green at 0730 and run via Tesco's, Provender Way, New Cut, then A20 to Bearsted, The Landway, Bearsted Station, Bearsted Green, Roundwell, A20 Ashford Rd, Kentish Yeoman, then via Madginford and Willington St to Sutton Road, The Wheatsheaf, Loose Road and so to school, returning by the reverse of this route in the afternoon.
Bus 21 will still, afternoon only, run from school at 1505 as far as Maidstone.
