Experience and Requirements

Applicants must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid UK PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Licence with two years proven PCV driving experience with no more than 6 penalty points* and a valid Drivers CPC card with at least 12 months to run before it expires.

(*Note we may not proceed with applications for certain driving offences such as alcohol/drug/mobile phone use related points).

Due to limited public transport links to our depot, applicants must have their own means of travel to and from work. This is essential to meet the demands of the start and finish times of the duties.

As a bus driver with Nu-Venture, you will play a vital role in ensuring passenger satisfaction, which directly influences our company's reputation and income. Courtesy, patience, and clear communication are essential, as you will be the first point of contact for our customers.

Duty Times

The role requires flexibility in working hours, with early starts, and we have one late finishing duty with alternate weekend shifts forming part of the working fortnight. Applicants should be prepared to work a range of duties, ensuring service coverage during peak travel times.

Reliability and Punctuality

Reliability and punctuality are critical, We expect drivers to arrive for work on time for every duty and to maintain a consistent level of trustworthiness in attendance and task completion. Supporting a dependable timetable allows our passengers to plan their journeys with confidence.

Smart Appearance

A smart appearance is required at all times. Drivers must adhere to the company's uniform policy, presenting themselves in a manner that reflects our professional image to the public

Staff Travel Scheme

All full-time Nu-Venture drivers are eligible for our staff travel scheme, which offers free travel on Nu-Venture routes. This includes spouse and up to two children aged under 16 that live in the same household as the employee.
