Important changes to Nu-Venture Buses 4 and 4A
Bus 4 now Bus 504 - serves Larkfield, Oxley Shaw, Kings Hill, East Peckham, Pembury New Bus Times
Bus 4A now Bus 505 - serves East Malling, Teston, Yalding, Wateringbury, Nettlestead New Bus Times
Nu-Venture took over buses 4 and 4A from previous operators at the start of the new school year, but severe delays have been experienced especially with the morning service due to prevailing traffic conditions especially at Pembury Crossroads and exacerbated by last week's road works in Tunbridge Wells Town Centre.
A new morning timetable will be introduced from Thursday 17 September giving buses longer to complete their journey by starting earlier than now.
No passengers currently use the bus stops at Teapot Lane and Lunsford Lane - these will not now be served. The first stop on route 504 will now be London Road, Ditton Corner.
Afternoon buses are also revised from Thursday 17 September, with extended journey times to allow for current levels of road congestion.
Afternoon bus 504 (was 4) will continue to leave Bennett Memorial School at 1545. At East Peckham , buses will now serve the bus turning circle at the HOP FARM - the immediately-adjacent Car Park A should be used by parents picking students up there. The Hop Farm is a safer location than Branbridges Road for those users who need to transfer from Bus 4/504 to Bus 4A./505.
Buses connecting at the Hop Farm will now run from there at 1615 and five minutes later subsequently. Bus 504 will continue to serve Branbridges Road/Hale Street.
